Olaf A. Bodamer, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP, FACMG, an internationally recognized biochemical and medical geneticist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, has been appointed to be a clinical genomics section editor for Clinical and Translational Medicine (CTM).

CTM is an international peer-review open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen that is devoted to the publication of articles on scientific and clinical investigations that contribute towards the understanding of molecular mechanisms of disease. It aims to foster a predictive, preventive, personalized and practical approach towards precision medicine, leading to improved patient prognosis.

Dr. Bodamer is a Professor in the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics, Director of the Division of Clinical and Translational Genetics, and Clinical Vice Chair. He is board certified in Medical and Biochemical Genetics with special expertise in translational aspects of human genetics. Dr. Bodamer is well known for his work in newborn screening, inborn errors of metabolism and genetics of prematurity .
