This is a multi-disciplinary clinic focusing on infants and children with concerns regarding development or neurological disorders, where a genetic disorder is present or suspected. The clinic is held on the 1st Monday of each month. |

Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic |
A multidisciplinary clinic where children with cleft lip and/or palate and some other craniofacial conditions can be seen by many specialists at once. This allows the healthcare professionals involved, including medical genetics, pediatrics, plastic surgery, nutrition, audiology, psychology CMS coordinator and parent resource specialist, to meet and discuss each patient’s diagnosis and plan together for optimization of care. This clinic takes places every Tuesday morning, excluding the second Tuesday of the month. |

Muscular Dystrophy Clinic |
This clinic was established at the University of Miami in 1992 as an official MDA patient clinic. It is a multidisciplinary clinic which takes care of adult and pediatric neuromuscular patients from all over South Florida, the Caribbean and central and South America. Drs. Ashook Verma and Khema Sharma are the clinic directors. Dr. Lisa Baumbach, is the clinic geneticist. Full genetic counseling and genetic testing is available through the clinic for affected and at-risk family members, as well as information on clinical trials. The clinic meets weekly. |
