Medical Genetics Services
The Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics provides the Jackson Memorial Hospital and other surrounding hospitals with Medical Genetics Service. This service covers any inheritable genetic condition, in individuals of all age groups. The Medical Genetics Service performs diagnostic testing, and offers guidance for clinical management and genetic counseling of these conditions. The service provides answers and advice for the full range of genetic conditions, such as inheritable cancer, early-onset heart disease, metabolic disorders, congenital malformations, pre-senile dementia and many others.  Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics is at the heart of Miami’s hospital district. Our clinicians make rounds at Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as providing its Medical Genetics Service. In addition, our clinicians participate in multidisciplinary services and Clinics at many of the specialists institutions here, including the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and dermatology.
